Welcome Little Javis to our family!

Arrival of Javis Lim!

It has been a week since Javis was born :)

I'm also adjusting to 2 kids in the house. Not easy to give attention to both, especially when Jalyn is still 2 years old and does not understand about a sibling. Though I have read books, talked to her about babies, bought a baby doll at home, she still has some difficulty accepting Javis into her life.

Nevertheless, James and I have been trying and is showing some positive results :)

Looking at both of them interacting! So I will put up more updates when I have more time.

It's been so longggg

It's been so long since I posted the last post. And again, I'm on my maternity leave. 2nd one... that is why got time to post....

Baby No. 2 is coming on 9th Oct! About 2 years apart from Baby Jalyn. No. 2 is a little baby boy :) Our little family has one girl and one boy! :)

Packing up things... preparing Jalyn for the arrival of her new baby brother... oo alot of things! When I had Jalyn, it was easier as we have not bought anything, so everything also buy. But now, for Baby No. 2, its all "hand-me downs." Feel bad for Baby No. 2...just bought him a few suits of baby boy clothings but others will be from jie jie.

Jalyn is now 2, and attending school. Time flies ya.. really difficult to find time to sit infront of the computer to type and upload things.

Baby Jalyn is really cute noW and count down to a few days more, she has to share her daddy and mummy already :) But nevertheless, we still love our Baby Jalyn!!!

She's going to be 2 months soon

Baby Jalyn cute? She's dressed up as giraffe!! This suit was a gift from my mum's friend. It has matching mittens and very cute booties. If she can crawl, she will look even cuter!! This photo is on my handphone's wall paper. Everytime I am away from her, when I look at this photo, I will miss her alot and feel bad being away from her.

She's playing with her favourite fish mobile. Her favourite colour is yellow and orange! If you take her away from her cot when she is playing, she will cry very loudly!!! Now I am trying to get her into a routine..after shower time is mobile time then sleep time. So fast, it's 28th September...which means Jalyn will be 2 months on 1st October!

Me and hubby are going for a little get away in October! Baby Jalyn has to stay at home... Today, we are going to take a passport photo for baby as in October, we're going Malaysia to BBQ... round up my 3 months of leave with a big bang! AnD...life goes on.......

My daddy, mummy, sister, granny are going to Korea in November! Baby has to be with me already.no one take care of her. cool huh.. i also wanna go Korea.... heh~.. have to wait next time when baby is bigger then can bring her along and buy a hanbok for her too!

oOoOO have to get ready her outing bag... we're going out soon!!!!!

Colic blues

"Yes! I AM UNHAPPY, GROUCHY! All because of colic! I'm UNCOMFORTABLE!" - says Jalyn

Since i have not entered my blog for so many days, one more post :) heee

Colic blues!!!! for both mummy and baby!

Jalyn cried and cried in the evening when we went out the first time and came back very late at night. (about 9pm). She cried hysterically. She has never cried more than 10 minutes before this!! So i was extremely worried and then my grandma told me it's 7 mth.. blah blah..come back so late.. i was so scared.. WHAT DID BABY SEE OUTSIDE!?!?!?

It went on for consecutively 3 days and during these 3 days, i was frantically surfing the web and reading up books on the solution! And finally, it's called colic! And i thought colic means wind in the tummy. But it's more than that. It means unexplained prolong crying up to 3 hours! (Yah! that's what i was facing)

So i read about gripe water, laying the baby in different types of position etc.... So maNy pattern come out already. Hubby also frantic... Then during this period, i think i would have scolded Jalyn cause it's really frustrating to face a crying baby . Lucky there were many people in the house to carry her and soothe baby..

Now that I have understand more about Jalyn, I can cope better with her. She's getting very cute everyday and responsive and it's really a joy to be at home with her!

One Month Baby

Yeahh baby is a month old on 31st August 2006! (Lunar Calendar)
We had a busy day on 31st August going around Singapore to deliver cakes and eggs and kuehs to our elders and relatives.

Here's one of the one-month announcement gift pack I have ordered for some. It's very nice isn't it? I think it's so sweeeet!

Jalyn also had her haircut the next day. Just a few snips! I can't bear to shave all her hair away.. afterall, she's a girl girl :P

Jalyn's one month also means mummy can go out already! Though I am granted to go out, I cannot eat alot of types of food and I am still eating and drinking confinement food... think it has to be 40 days or what... though today its 41th day, my mum still ask me to take some.. good for me .. (eeeuukkkkk)

Baby is so fun!

Having all the time for your baby is really a very wonderful feeling. I am very involved in baby's every need!

We're planning her baby shower for next Thursday! Starting to order cakes and some goodie bags for relatives and friends. Now a days they have so many types of cute packages for baby shower! But of course, cute comes with cost! haha...

James will be working on 1 Sept and therefore, we're not having any celebration on that day. But I think for his colleagues, they will come after 8pm for some finger food. Hmmm...

I wonder if baby have grown. I see her everyday so I don't know but I think her face has shrunk from a pau pau to ...dunno what.. thinner.....

So who does she look like now?

My colleagues say forehead daddy and eyes daddy, but nose and mouth me.. what do you think?

Baby in our livEs

Coping with all the night feeds.. waking up like 3 times at night makes me look like panda. But being a mummy now means I must wake up immediately and i'm such a light sleeper now that i am very aware of what is happening to baby in my sleep!!

Baby is growing day by day. Hubby and I love her more and more. She's very special to us!

Confinement has been very busy. I thought i would be bored but most of the time I had to do routine care on Jalyn and also, not forgetting to catch up some sleep when she is sleeping in the afternoon too! Then the day just passes so fast! Can you believe, it's the 20th Day now!!! (going back to work very soon... days just pass so fast)


Baby is learning to interact and respond now.. she also likes to smile when we play with her. She's really a joy to have and be with!

Baby Jalyn is really a joy to our lives....

Today, I really enjoyed spending time with her as a mummy.

Baby's full name is Lim Zhi En Jalyn.

Hubby and I are taking turns to care for her and what other words to describe...hmm.. we're just happy :)

Soon, hubby has to go back to work already and baby and I will miss him. Baby loves her daddy alot as daddy is the one who has been feeding her ever since from the hospital! Baby will be with us for a few hours and hubby will be the one who feeds her. At home now, we also have a baby routine chart by hubby to monitor baby's feed. Wow.. really can see James' fatherhood side. James' also massages baby everyday for a few times!

feel so fortunate with hubby by my side....

Tomorrow, we'll be going to the clinic for baby's follow up!
